Seattle Marchers Support Catholic Nuns

Last Sunday, hundreds of supporters in Seattle gathered to show their support of the local US Catholic nuns. The Vatican has accused US nuns of promoting radical feminist views that go against the church’s beliefs.

At the march, supporters brought flowers representing the sisters who have influenced them and honored their selfless contributions. Some sisters mentioned that their work with the poor and underpriviledged is a different experience than others in the church.

The marchers said they were gathering to show their solidarity with the church as well as the sisters. In Seattle, Archbishop Peter Sartain is in charge of overseeing the local nuns and the local investigation.

Sartain released a statement on Saturday acknowledging the role religious women have played in our nation. He also promised to work with leaders to address the issue regarding nuns in the US.
