Moon Viewing

The Seattle Japanese Garden is hosting a Harvest Moon Viewing on Saturday, September 6 from 7 to 10 pm. There will be traditional music performances as the moon rises and darkness falls. The garden will be lit up with paper lanterns for a unique view of the grounds.

This year, the Fujima Fujimine Dance Ensemble will perform traditional Japanese dance and James Jennings, Marcia Takamura, and Chigusa Kitai will perform instrumental music on the shakuhachi and koto. There will also be poetry sponsored by Haiku Northwest.

A traditional tea ceremony will also be held with limited admission. Annual passes are not valid for the event. Tickets are $15 for admission and $25 for admission with a tea ceremony.
