Dia de Muertos

On Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2, the Seattle Center will host Dia de Muertos: A Mexican Celebration to Remember Our Departed.  The festivities will begin at 11 am on both days at the Center House Main Floor.

The weekend will feature the art and spirituality of the Mexican culture.  The “Day of the Dead” will honor the lives of loved ones who have passed.  A community altar and cemetery will be created.  There will also be face painting, rituals, a musical procession, activities, food, and much more.  You can also make sugar skulls and paper skeletons.  Saturday night will also have an all ages dance to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the festival at the Seattle Center.
